Agreement and scope

By using byasterisk.com, sending an enquiry, or opening a private client page, you agree to these terms. If you act for another traveler, you confirm that you have authority to provide their information. A separate planning agreement, proposal, supplier term, or booking condition may also apply; the more specific written term controls the relevant service if there is a conflict.

An enquiry is not a booking

An enquiry or scheduled conversation begins a conversation. It does not create an advisor-client relationship, guarantee that ASTER* can accept the engagement, reserve travel, or fix a price or availability. Scope, planning fees, payment terms, and expected trip investment will be confirmed separately in writing before paid planning or booking work begins.

Bookings, prices, and payment

A reservation is confirmed only when the supplier accepts it and required payment is received. Quotes, availability, schedules, taxes, exchange rates, fees, and inclusions may change before confirmation. Applicable planning fees, deposits, payment authorizations, cancellation terms, and material known costs will appear in the relevant agreement, proposal, invoice, confirmation, or supplier terms.

Independent travel suppliers

Hotels, airlines, cruise lines, transportation companies, guides, tour operators, insurers, and other suppliers are independent businesses. Their contracts, cancellation rules, privacy practices, and liability limits apply. To the extent permitted by law, ASTER* is not responsible for a supplier's acts, omissions, insolvency, schedule changes, or performance, but will use reasonable efforts to help within the agreed planning scope.

Traveler responsibilities

• Review names, dates, prices, and booking details promptly and before approval.
• Pay amounts when due and provide accurate, current traveler information.
• Maintain required passports, visas, permissions, and health documentation.
• Check current official entry, safety, health, carrier, and accessibility guidance.
• Tell ASTER* promptly about material dietary, mobility, medical, or other needs.
• Consider travel insurance appropriate to the trip and personal circumstances.

ASTER* encourages appropriate travel insurance but does not guarantee that any policy will cover a particular loss.

Changes and events beyond control

Weather, public-health events, strikes, government action, conflict, natural disasters, supplier changes, and other events outside reasonable control can alter or prevent travel. Refunds, credits, rebooking, and cancellation charges are governed by supplier terms and any separate written agreement. ASTER* cannot promise a particular outcome.

Private client access

Client sign-in links and trip links are personal, time-limited, and intended only for the recipient and people they authorize. Keep them confidential, do not attempt to access another client's information, and contact ASTER* promptly if a link may have been shared or used without permission. Access may be suspended where reasonably necessary to protect a client or the service.

Responsible use

Do not interfere with or probe the site, submit false or unlawful material, impersonate another person, bypass access controls, scrape or automate abusive requests, introduce malicious code, or use the site or a private link in a way that infringes another person's rights.

Content and third-party links

The site's writing, visual design, trademarks, and original materials belong to ASTER* or its licensors and may not be copied or commercially reused without permission. Editorial guides express a point of view and are not a live quote or legal, medical, safety, immigration, or insurance advice. Third-party links are governed by their own terms.

Disclaimers and limits

The public site and its general content are provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ASTER* disclaims implied warranties relating to the public site and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from its use. Nothing here excludes consumer rights or limits responsibility for fraud, willful misconduct, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. A separate agreement may set service-specific terms.

Changes, severability, and questions

We may update these terms or change parts of the site. Changes apply prospectively when posted unless law requires another form of notice. If one provision is unenforceable, the others continue to apply. Questions may be sent to adam@byasterisk.com or through the private enquiry form.
